UI Configs: User Management

This article defines the UI Config options for user management.

UI Config

PORTAL_USERS_ALLOW_ADD
Valid Config Value

yes/no

Description

This config will show/hide the "Add User" button. This config is not dependent on the set number of users capacity limitations. If set to hide the delete button will also be hidden from view.

Default System Settings

Enabled for Office Manager and Reseller by default.

What roles is this valid for?

Call Center Supervisor, Office Manager, and Reseller.


UI Config

PORTAL_USERS_ALLOW_DELETE

Description

This config will show/hide the "Delete User" button.

Default System Settings

Enabled for Office Manager and Reseller by default.

Call Center Supervisor, Office Manager, and Reseller.

PORTAL_USERS_ALLOW_ENABLE_VOICEMAIL

Description

This config determines whether the user will have the ability to enable voicemail.

Default System Settings

Enabled for Basic User, Call Center Agent, Office Manager, and Reseller by default.

What roles is this valid for?

Basic User, Call Center Agent, Call Center Supervisor, Office Manager, and Reseller.

Description

This config determines whether the first and last name for the user can be changed.

Default System Settings

Enabled for Call Center Agent, Office Manager, and Reseller by default.

Description

This config enables the display of the recording option for the user.

Default System Settings

Disabled for Call Center Agent, Office Manager, and Reseller by default.

Description

This config enables the display of the recording option in the phone's setting.

Default System Settings

Disabled for Call Center Agent, Office Manager, and Reseller by default.

What roles is this valid for?

Call Center Agent, Call Center Supervisor, Office Manager, and Reseller.

Important Note: Recording is a billable feature. By enabling this UI Config, you assume responsibility for end-users turning on call recording and incurring charges.

Description

This config enables the display of the data settings in the voicemail tab of the user's profile configuration.

Description

This config enables the display of the voicemail to email settings in the voicemail tab of the user's profile configuration.

Enabled for Call Center Agent,  Office Manager and Reseller by default.

PORTAL_USERS_DIR_MATCH_FIRSTNAME

Description

This config when enabled will switch the auto-creation of directory match to use first name instead of the default last name.

Default System Settings

Disabled for Call Center Agent,  Office Manager and Reseller by default.

Call Center Agent, Call Center Supervisor, Office Manager, and Reseller.

PORTAL_USERS_SHOW_OPERATOR_FORWARD

Description

This config when enabled will allow an option in the user's voicemail to configure a custom extension to where the call is forwarded for when 0 is pressed during the voicemail recording. 

Default System Settings

Disabled for Call Center Agent,  Office Manager, and Reseller by default.

Call Center Agent, Call Center Supervisor, Office Manager, and Reseller.

PORTAL_ALLOW_SCOPE_SELECT_CC_AGENT

Description

When enabled, this UI config allows the Call Center Agent role to be selectable as a scope.

Default System Settings

Enabled for Office Manager and Reseller by default.

What roles is this valid for?

Call Center Supervisor, Office Manager, and Reseller.

PORTAL_USERS_ALLOW_EDIT_911ID
Valid Config Value

Description

This UI config will allow/disallow the ability to edit a 911 ID.

Default System Settings

Enabled for Office Manager, Call Center Supervisor, and Reseller by default.

What roles is this valid for?

Basic User, Advanced User Call Center Agent, Call Center Supervisor, Office Manager, and Reseller.

If enabled for an Office Manager or Reseller, the user can edit their own 911 ID as well as other users. If enabled for all other roles, the user can only edit their own 911 ID.

Important Note: We have added the above configuration option for resellers to be able to disable the functionality for office managers. We strongly recommend not enabling this functionality for other roles, because of the potential impact.

Resellers will be responsible for unprovisioned 911 calls as a result of user error.
