How do I upgrade to the version mentioned in the June 13, 2024, announcement?

This only applies to GRP26XX phone models; we advise that you upgrade the firmware to version 1.0.11.10. This version fixes the root cause of the RTCP issue which causes very rare instances of crosstalk on these devices.

Before upgrading the phone firmware to 1.0.11.10 make sure your current firmware version is at 1.0.9.x. If not look to the next section on how to upgrade from older firmware.

Upgrade Procedure:

  1. In the dropdown menu under PBX of your dashmanager click on the NDP option to open the portal.
  2. Apply the overrides below.
P192="sipcfg.io/frm/grandstream/grp/grp261x/11.10"
P6767="1"

Note 1: You can apply this as a device-specific, domain-specific, or brand-specific override. Devices with significantly older firmware may require several updates and multiple reboots. Please wait patiently until it's fully finished.

Note 2: To prevent the crosstalk bug caused by older firmware, we implemented a model-specific override to disable RTCP functionality on all affected phone models. After upgrading your devices to version 1.0.11.10, we recommend re-enabling this functionality. You can find the overrides below.

Which Models have Hardware V2?

  • GRP2612W/P
  • GRP2613
  • GRP2614
  • GRP2615
  • GRP2616
  • GRP2624
  • GRP2634
  • GRP2670

How do I tell which hardware version I have, for models with two different hardware versions?

GRP261x v2 is noted by HW revision number. For example, V2.x. Here's a screenshot of my v1 GRP2615 system info:

Note the Part Number ending with 16B, refers to the HW revision 1.6B while a V2 would have 20A or 21B and so on.
