Rate Card is a critical component of successfully using Datagate to improve the

solutions you’re providing to customers to ensure you’re making the best margins.

Rate Cards are used to set up rates for tolls, toll free, circuit, electricity or any other service that relates to usage.

Creating a Rate Card


  • Click Rating.



  • Click on the ‘+’ button and select ‘Add Rate Card’.



  • Fill out the required fields.
  • Click on ‘Save’ to finish.


Setting up a Rate Card


  • Click the rate card you have just created.



  • Click on the ‘Records’ tab
  • Click on the ‘+’ button.







  • Fill out the Record Details pane and then click ‘Save’.

Flat Rate

Flat Rate: i.e. $1.00 per call regardless of duration.


Mark-up: i.e. 1.1 = Cost * 1.1

Minute Rate

Minute Rate:  Per Minute Rate i.e. $1.00 per minute

Assigning Rate Cards

Assigning rate cards is done on the customer level.

  • Select the customer.

  • Click the assignments tab.
  • Click the ‘+’ button.


  • Select the rate card from the Rating Item field.

  • Service Item field – defaults to ALL service items or a rate card can be assigned to an individual service item.  

    1. If an individual service item is selected, each service item will need a rate card assigned to it individually

  • Enter the date this assignment will be active from.

  • Click ‘Save’ to finish

  • Note: An import feature for Rate Card records is available via the Imports menu when there is large volume of rates to  enter.
