Known Polycom Issue - Directed Call Pickup

There is a known issue with Polycom for Directed Call Pickup where the device will send *35 instead of *35+ext when attempting a Directed Call Pickup on a user. This is due to the Caller ID Name of that user containing an ampersand symbol (&) that is unable to be parsed. This can be resolved by removing the ampersand symbol from the Caller ID Name of the user you are attempting the Directed Call Pickup on.

Follow the steps below to resolve this:

  1. Go to Manage PBX on your Reseller Dashmanager.

  2. Go to the domain where the user to edit is.

  3. Open the profile of the user.

  4. Remove any ampersand symbol (&) from the Caller ID Name field of the user in the Caller ID Information section of the user’s profile.

  5. Click on the Save button.
