Enable Developer Options
Find the build number of your phone, which, may vary between different brands and versions of Android OS. Below are instructions for a few popular devices. However, for most devices, there is a search at the top of the Settings page where you can search for ‘build number’ and click on the result to go there directly.
Stock Android Devices: Settings > About Phone > scroll down to Build number
Google Pixel: Settings > System > About phone > Build number
Samsung Galaxy S8 or later: Settings > About phone > Software information > Build number
HTC U11 or later: Settings > About > Software information > More > Build number
OnePlus 5T or later: Settings > About phone > Build number
LG G6 or later: Settings > About phone > Software info > Build number
Motorola devices: Settings > System > About phone > Build number
Tap on Build number several times and you will eventually see a message saying ‘You are now a developer!’. You might see a message saying ‘You are now x steps away from being a developer.’ in the middle.
Confirm and provide pin or password when prompted.
Once done Developer options will now be available in your phone’s Settings.
Generate the Bug Report
First, you will have to recreate the issue encountered by performing the same steps that lead to the problem.
Open Settings and go to Developer options.
Click on Take bug report.
It may take a few moments to compile after which you will be able to email it to yourself and/or forward this to the developers of the concerned application with the bug.
