Obihai ATAs are provisioned via the OBiTALK zero touch provisioning portal. Obihai devices are not supported by the SkySwitch provisioning server.

To get access to the Obitalk portal please register as an Obihai partner:

This will give you access to the OBiTALK Device Management Platform portal.

To work with SkySwitch, Obihai vs devices MUST be running firmware version or higher.

Configuration of OBiTALK Provisioning Server

Login to the OBiTALK portal. Under the 'Service Provider' menu link, enter the following values in one of the ITSP Profiles (eg. ITSP Profile A)

Proxy ServerEnter the Domain name here. Eg. acme.15611.service
Registrar ServerEnter the Domain name here. Eg. acme.15611.service

Be sure to disable the checkbox labeled X_DiscoverPublicAddress. This parameter is enabled by default. Failure to disable this parameter will break the Web Centrex NAT traversal mechanism because it will try to auto-detect the WAN IP address and use that in communication with the server.

Under the 'Voice Service' menu link, enter the SIP Credentials that you created in the PBX Portal into one of the SP pages (eg. SP1 Service).

Parameter Name
Auth UsernameEnter the SIP Username that you chose in the PBX Portal (see above)

URIEnter the combination of the SIP Username chosen above, and Domain separated with an "@". Eg. 1001@acme.15611.service

If you are setting up your Obihai as an ATA (FXS) device, you can stop here.

FXO Port (POTS) configuration

If you plan to use the Obihai FXO Port, please see the following configuration options. If your Obihai has an FXO port, it will allow your Obihai to send POTS Calls into SkySwitch to a single destination. We recommend the latest available firmware for this configuration to function.

For POTS to SkySwitch Calls

Under Service Providers > ITSP Profile (x) SIP
  • X_SpoofCallerID - This box should be checked.
Under Physical Interfaces > LINE
  • CallForwardUnconditionalEnable - This box should be checked.
  • CallForwardUnconditionalNumber - Enter the Voice Services Profile and the extension or ring group where you will send the call. In the following example, sp1(100) uses the SIP credentials for SP1 Service and forwards the call to User 100 on this domain.

For Domain Calls to POTS Line

Please note that sending calls from an extension to the Obihai SIP Trunk will require custom configuration from SkySwitch Support. The following configuration would be required.

Under Voice Services > SP(x) Service
  • X_InboundCallRoute - li

Under Physical Interfaces > LINE
  • InboundCallRoute - should be set to sp(x) indicating the Voice Service Line where calls would be generated from. In the following example, our SIP credentials are set up under Voice Services > SP1 Service. The field should be set to sp1.
