MACH Networks - SIP User Setup

Please reference this guide for SIP Credentials required in the Mach Networks Site Survey.

Background

MACH’s AReS™ (Analog Replacement Solutions) helps you seamlessly transition from analog to digital, replacing old POTS lines with modern 4G and 5G upgradeable connectivity, future-proofing the connectivity of your most mission-critical applications.

With the recent FCC Order 19-72A1, local exchange carriers will no longer offer POTS lines and are aggressively looking to migrate users from existing lines. In turn, analog connectivity prices have skyrocketed, and support is waning, leaving companies running mission-critical applications like fire alarms, elevator equipment, and call boxes scrambling for an alternative.

Award-winning and patent-pending AReS™ was created as the perfect alternative to modernize POTS-connected applications.   AReS™ is a purpose-built, fully managed solution that includes enterprise-grade hardware, software, and support in an unparalleled, complete, cost-effective solution.

SkySwitch has teamed with MACH Networks to bring an enterprise-class POTS Replacement platform to market for their partner community.   AReS™ is a next-generation, fully managed POTS replacement solution purpose-built with enterprise-class, code-compliant equipment designed to deliver future-proof connectivity services for mission-critical applications like alarm panels, elevators, call boxes, fax machines, and more.

When coupled with SkySwitch, AReS offers the industry’s leading POTS Replacement Solution.   And the best part is that you still provide your instance of the SkySwitch license.

Partner Task Explanation

MACH Networks may be sending out a site survey to the partner for information about the server.  They will need a set of SIP Credentials to register and monitor their device at the partner’s client location.

Cost

This configuration will cost one (1) seat license to add the MACH Networks device(s) to your VOIP services

Configuration Steps

( Similar to Generating SIP Credentials for a soft phone )

  1. Purchase a new DID - or decide which DID will be used in conjunction of MACH network analog services.  For example, if you need elevator POTS line protection, be sure you have a dedicated DID number for that ATA device to use for outbound calls.  You will be referencing that DID in Step 3 below.
  2. Navigate to the Users tab of the client's domain and click the Add User button found on the far-right side of the page.
  3. Specifically for MACH Networks.   When creating the user, it is important to use the POTS line DID (10-digit number) for the First name of the MACH Networks User and also for the extension field. We also recommend entering a dash for the Last Name since it is a required field.  You may use machnetworks@resellername.com as the email required field as a place holder.
  4. Once complete, add a phone/device you want to be associated with the user, and then after saving the changes, Edit the device to view the SIP credentials for Mach Networks.  This information needs to be returned to MACH Networks for their site survey in a secure manner by using Onetime Secret
  5. One SIP user will be needed per analog line. Repeat step 3 for each analog DID as needed.
  6. Route the DID to the inventory of the domain, and set the treatment to the user created in Step 3 above.  Example below.
